Silipos Ball of Foot Cushion Gel Strap Sizes
The Silipos Ball of Foot Cushion Gel Strap is available in two different sizes. To find the right size for you, please use the information below as a rough guide:
- Small/Medium: Typically for women or men with smaller feet
- Large/Extra Large: Typically for men or women with larger feet
Ideal for Fat Pad Atrophy
The Silipos Ball of Foot Cushion Universal Gel Straps serve as a soft tissue supplement for fat pad atrophy (when the cushion of fat under the ball of the foot wears away, becoming thinner and offering less natural cushioning). Multi-functional and versatile, the stitching of these straps can be cut to fit to the instep, bunions, elbow, hand or wrist.
Covered or Uncovered Gel
The Silipos Ball of Foot Cushion Universal Gel Straps are available with an uncovered (exposed) gel pad that delivers mineral oil treatment to the skin, or with a covered gel pad that offers pressure relief but does not deliver the mineral oil to the skin. These two options offer the following benefits:
- Uncovered Gel: Allows the mineral oil gel pad to soften and reduce callused skin
- Covered Gel: Extends the product's lifespan as the gel pad is not absorbed, making it ideal for when callusing isn't an issue
What Does the Gel Strap Look Like?
The Silipos Universal Gel Strap fits over the foot and big toe to form soft and comfortable barrier between your foot and shoe below.
What Does a Correctly Fitted Gel Barrier Look Like?
If you've purchased the correct size and applied your Gel Barrier so the padded section is covering the afflicted metatarsal row, you should instantly start to experience less pain when walking and exercising. Take a look at the image to see how a correctly fitted Gel Barrier should look:
My Silipos Barrier Keeps Slipping
If you are experiencing slippage, there are a few things you can do. The first thing we recommend you do is ensure that your Cushion is indeed fitted correctly by look at the sole of your foot and comparing your placement against the image above.
The second is to take a section of gauze or bandage and wrap that gently over the top of the Gel Barrier to prevent the Cushion "running" up and down your foot.
Silipos Gel Products
Silipos gels easily conform to the body, ensuring a comfortable fit that cushions and protects. Silipos gel products are made with mineral oil gels that provide cushioning protection with the added benefit of skin moisturising and conditioning when the gel is applied directly to the skin.
These gels protect the body against impact, pressure and shear forces while simultaneously releasing moisture-rich mineral oil that gently hydrates, softens and conditions the skin without the use of additional creams or lotions.
Suitable for Sensitive Skin
The Silipos Gel Strap has a latex-free design to accommodate for people who have irritable skin and allergies, making this product suitable for a wider range of users.
Washing Instructions
To correctly and safely wash your Silipos Cushioned Gel Strap, hand wash using a mild detergent. Do not machine wash. To dry, simply leave to air dry in a warm environment.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit
Using Your Shoe Size
For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.
Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.
Measuring Your Current Insoles
While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.
To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
- Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
- Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results
Where Can I Find the Dimensions?
The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab
What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?
If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.
Trimming Your Insoles to Fit
To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:
- Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
- Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
- Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
- Carefully cut along the traced line
- Your insoles should now fit your shoes better
Carefully trace the outline of your insole
Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.
