How Does the Three Layer Support System Work?

The Sports L405 Orthotics use innovative technology that is unique among most other insoles. The top layer consists of a soft CopperGuard cover that prevents fungi, bacteria and odour from spreading. The centre cushion is a Pro-Shox polyurethane material that provides arch support and stability to the whole foot for proper body alignment. And finally the AeroCell base offers superior shock absorption that is great for runners and athletes.

Will These Insoles Help Smelly Feet?

Bacterial or fungal growth are the main cause of smelly feet and shoes. The copper lining in these insoles combats the growth of bacteria and fungus and so helps to prevent smelly feet and shoes. At the same time the Pro-Shox technology helps to wick moisture away from the feet, in which bacteria and fungi might otherwise develop.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

After trying various other popular branded orthotics, I have finally found a truly comfortable, not too hard, not too soft, not too thick one that actually does support my foot. I have the usual issues with an arthritic toe joint which is now developing ball of foot issues. As I walk long distance paths in the UK, I have high hopes for this product to get me there!

I bought these after being diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma in both feet. I was finding it difficult very to walk, so decided to try a pair. I was amazed how much difference they made, I got immediate pain relief and was able to walk around reasonably comfortably again. They kept me going for around nine months until I had an operation to remove the neuromas. I'll still be keeping a pair in all my shoes. I do think they are a bit expensive for an insole but am very grateful that they exist!
