What Are the Features of the MaxxDry Heavy Duty Dryer?
The MaxxDry Heavy Duty Dryer is built to offer comprehensive drying to a broad range of gloves, boots and shoes. It has been built with features to make this as easy as possible:
- An internal fan which circulates warm air through hand or footwear
- Removable extension tubes to accommodate taller boots
- Four fan rods for a maximum of two pairs of shoes or gloves
- Three hour timer which shuts off the heater automatically
- A heat on/off switch to allow for heat free air circulation
- A six foot power cord which doesn't prevent the dryer from being moved around slightly
How Does the MaxxDry Heavy Duty Dryer Work?
This dryer implements a sophisticated dual pronged approach to shoe and glove drying. First, the heater warms up to 40.5ºC to evaporate moisture from the shoes.
Second, a fan within the dryer forces this warm air up around the shoe. Not only does this ensure an even distribution of warm air to awkward corners of the item, it also circulates air to reduce humidity and prevent the propagation of damp or mould.
What Can I Use This Dryer On?
This is a versatile dryer which can be used on most wet hand or footwear, including:
- Ski boots
- Wet gloves
- Football or rugby cleats
- Hiking boots
Can I Dry Items with Delicate Materials?
When the MaxxDry Dryer is set to the "mild heat" or "no heat at all" settings, it is suitable for delicate materials and those that can be vulnerable to warping with heat. On the "mild heat" and "no heat" settings, the MaxxDry is suitable for:
- Neoprene
- Polyester
- Microfibril materials
- Woven nylon
- Fine leather
- Canvas

How Do I Use the MaxxDry Heavy Duty Dryer?
This dryer is very easy to use, simply:
- Decide whether or not you will need to use the extension tubes for your desired items
- If you need the extender tubes then slide them over two of the fan rods, otherwise move straight to step three
- Place one item upside down on a fan rod or extender tube (up to a maximum of four items)
- Turn on the fan and heater
- Return in an hour to check on progress
- If your shoes have fully dried simply take them off and turn off the fan and dryer
- If not they can be left on for longer, the heater will automatically turn off after three hours to prevent waste and increase safety
Will This Dryer Prevent Shoe Odour?
By drying quickly and constantly circulating air this dryer prevents the development of bacteria mould and fungus, which are primary contributors to shoe and garment odour.
How Long Will the MaxxDry Heavy Duty Dryer Take?
Most items should be dry in around one hour and if left on the heater will turn off after three hours.
What Temperature is the Heater?
The heater warms up to 40.5ºC, or 106ºF.
Will the MaxxDry Heavy Duty Dryer Damage Delicate Items?
No, this dryer is safe to use on delicate items and will not shrink clothes or damage custom liners. It also features a switch to turn off the heat and leave only the fan running, so that you can monitor the drying of especially delicate items. Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit
Using Your Shoe Size
For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.
Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.
Measuring Your Current Insoles
While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.
To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
- Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
- Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results
Where Can I Find the Dimensions?
The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab
What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?
If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.
Trimming Your Insoles to Fit
To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:
- Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
- Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
- Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
- Carefully cut along the traced line
- Your insoles should now fit your shoes better
Carefully trace the outline of your insole
Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.
