Insole Sizing Guide

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

How to measure your insoles

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

Pedag Queen Metatarsal Supports
Rating:
05 August 2023  |  Elizabeth

Unfortunately these insoles are very narrow & short & only really suitable for a high healed sandal. They are no good for my flat sandals.
I bought size small for size 5 shoes but they are too small. Shame as the concept & quality is good

Response:

Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry these weren't the right fit.

This listing does state that insoles are extra narrow and mostly suited for high-heeled shoes, and so we wouldn't recommend these for flat shoes. However, we do have a range of wide fit insoles on our site should you want an alternative.

Wishing you all the best,

Amelia at ShoeInsoles.co.uk

Should have taken note of other reviews. Lovely pads but far too slim and I am only a size 7.5/ 42

Pain free
Rating:

I purchased four different types of insoles thinking surely one of them would ease my metatarsals. I bought a pair of Pedag Lady and a pair of Pedag Queen. The Pedag Lady I put into my flat shoes and the Pedag Queen into my heeled shoes. All I can say is, that for the first time in ages I’m pain-free. To fit them, place the back of the insole nearly at the back of the shoe, but first fold back about an inch of brown paper revealing the glue. It’s sufficient to hold it in place and enable you to try on the shoe and to readjust if needed.

So slim fitting they don't take up space in my boot, but the cushioning is in exactly the right place to relive pain in the ball of my feet. I have been searching for ages for the right product. Thank you.

I purchased these insoles as they were recommend by my podiatrist. They are well made and look good however I would have appreciated some instructions with regards to where to position them in my shoe as they are smaller than any insoles I have used previously.

I purchased these supports for my mum following a suggestion from her podiatrist... she finds them very comfortable & doesn't notice hard or uneven surfaces as much now. Thank you

Does the job well
Rating:
20 October 2018  |  Basia

I bought this product as had pain in the ball of my foot and needed something for summer sandals and ballet-type office shoes. The product does its job well, supports the area and makes walking in thin-soled shoes comfy again. Additional benefit is that it helped my feet 'settle' better in loose sandals. It can be easily removed from one pair and attached to another (make sure you don't pull the protective self-adhesive film all the way off when you first attach the soles to your shoes, pull off a small area and leave the rest of the protective film on the sole so that you can keep changing and attaching it to different pairs). All in all, exactly what I needed for summer shoes and will be buying again.
