To ensure a precise level of fit, we recommend removing the existing insole from your shoes and measuring the length and width at the longest and widest point as shown in the image below. Match these measurements to the dimensions listed below in order to find the pair that will best fit your shoes.

How to use the Powerstep Slenderfit Fashion Orthotic Insoles

  • Insert the Powerstep orthotic into the shoe. Ensure it is situated against the back of the shoe.
  • Do not remove the shoe’s existing insole.
  • If necessary wear a few hours a day until feet are accustomed to better support and then wear full time.
  • Can be easily moved from one pair of shoes to the next.
  • Spot clean with mild detergent. Do not immerse in water. Air dry only.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

Too wide for shoes

These are marketed as being suitable for healed shoes. However due to their width, they push the shoe outwards at the arch, distorting the whole shoe. Not suitable

This is either the third or fourth order from ShoeInsoles.co.uk. The website is very good. The products are good and the service is excellent. I have ordered different insoles previously but thought I would try these this time. Although they are of good quality, I don't know how long they will last. The area that sits under the ball of the foot, it looks as though after a small amount of wear it will come apart from the rest of the insole. However, I am keeping them and if I am not happy with their longevity, I will contact you. I am sure there won't be a problem.

I have used these insoles for a couple of years and wanted an additional pair. These fit in the majority of my shoes and have eliminated any pain from plantar fasciitis. The service was amazing, I ordered them Friday lunchtime and they arrived on Saturday morning.

These insoles are a good quality product and I feel they do help with my walking, but can only use in 1 or 2 of my shoes because of the depth of them. They are worth ordering to try.
