Uses for the Pro11 Gel Metatarsal Pads

These pads can be used by anyone that suffers from ball-of-foot pain, but can be particularly helpful for:

Correct Application Procedure and Instructions

In order to get the most out of your gel pads, we recommend taking some care when putting on your socks and shoes so as not to dislodge the pads and prevent proper usage. Please follow the instructions below to ensure your gel pad stays in place during the day:

  1. Place the ring of the pad around the central toe on the affected foot
  2. Ensure the toe ring is secure and in place before adjusting the pad to protect the correct area of your sole
  3. Expand your sock with both hands to create a wide hole and place your foot all the way inside, taking care to not dislodge the pad
  4. Untie your laces fully and place your foot carefully inside your shoes

About the Pro11 Gel Metatarsal Pads

These discreet and comfortable metatarsal pads remain in place by encircling the second toe. They absorb shock, reduce pressure on the metatarsal head, and protect the balls of the feet from injury.

Absorbs Shock

The Gel Metatarsal Pads absorb shock when the foot makes contact with a hard surface - whether you are walking, jogging, running or landing - reducing the impact to your metatarsal area. This reduces pain and fatigue in forefoot and protects the metatarsals from injury.

Reduces Pressure

Standing for long periods of time, particularly on a hard surface or in high heels, can cause a burning sensation in the ball of the foot. The Gel Metatarsal Pad remedies this by shifting pressure from the metatarsal head to the metatarsal shaft and surrounding tissue. This helps to relieve pressure, and therefore reduce pain, in the metatarsal head.

One Size Fits Most

This pair of Gel Metatarsal Pads is unisex and available in one size to fit most customers. The pads are suitable for use in most closed shoe styles, including loafers, trainers, courts and casual shoes.

Additional Information

Please note that the Gel Metatarsal Pads are latex-free, and can therefore be used by people with allergies to latex.

Insole Sizing Guide

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

How to measure your insoles

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Product Details Example
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

Pleasantly surprised
Rating:

I rarely feel the need to write a review, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. I wear these pads in 'fashion' shoes that my other Insoles are too bulky for, and they have really helped with my Morton''s Neuroma. I thought the toe ring would be irritating but I barely notice it. Also great delivery time, I received them the day after ordering.

Great but do slip off
Rating:

These are great (suprisingly so). Gel is just the right tension (not like horrible hard ones on Amazon) and really comfortable to walk in. However: they slip off really easily and you need to wear quite close fitting socks with them.

Great Product

I'd recently had bursitis in my left foot and bought these to wear in smarter style shoes as a method of preventing any reoccurrence of the condition and helping any pain. Was a bit dubious due to some of the previous reviews but they are comfortable, fit well once secured with the toe loop and a pair of thin socks or ankle tights. Wore them in boots with a small heel all day, no ball of foot pain and no discomfort from wearing the pads themselves, would definitely recommend.

Response:

Hi Lana,

Many thanks for taking the time to get in touch and leave a review with us. We really appreciate it.

We're sorry to hear that your Pro11 Gel Pads haven't made a difference to your Morton's neuroma.

If you're finding that a gel pad doesn't work as well as you'd like, we've attached a link to a list of Morton's neuroma insoles that you might find work better for you below.

You can view that page here: Best Insoles for Morton's Neuroma

There are a number of insoles there that are specifically designed to relieve pressure and pain at the fore and ball of the foot, thus alleviating the pain associated with Morton's neuroma and other similar conditions.

We hope you find this information helpful and thanks again for taking the time to leave a review with us.

Kind regards,

Seth at ShoeInsoles.co.uk
