Product Details

Silipos Arthritis and Diabetic Gel Socks (Pair)

Silipos Arthritis and Diabetic Gel Socks (Pair) provide optimum protection for neuropathic feet (nerve damaged feet caused by diabetes or arthritis). They are a thin and lightweight pair of socks designed to help reduce friction, abrasion, and shearing whilst preventing the formation of calluses and foot ulceration.

What's Included?

  • 1 x Pair of Silipos Gel Socks

Which Size Is Right for Me?

The Silipos Arthritic/Diabetic Gel Socks are available in the following sizes:

Size UK Shoe Size EU Shoe Size
Small Size 4 - 6.5 EU Size 37 - 40
Medium Size 7 - 9 EU Size 41 - 43
Large Size 9.5 - 11 EU Size 44 - 46

Please note that the sizing on the packaging may refer to the US shoe sizes

How Thick Are Silipos Arthritis Gel Socks?

Designed to provide a shield for neuropathic feet, Silipos Gel Socks use a gel layer on the underside of the sock for bolstering against impacts, bumps and shocks experienced when your feet make contact with the pavement. This gel on the underside of the socks leaves the top feeling highly flexible, allowing you to easily apply and remove your socks without aggravating any existing neuropathic injuries.

Who Can Benefit From Silipos Arthritis and Diabetic Gel Socks

The Silipos Arthritis and Diabetic Gel Socks are suitable for:

  • Arthritis
  • Atrophy of the Fat Pad
  • Blister Prone Feet
  • Diabetes
  • Neuropathic Feet
  • Sore, Fatigued and Irritated Feet

How Does Silipos Gel Work?

Silipos gel bends and flexes as the foot moves in step, matching the natural shape of the foot and ensuring a comfortable fit that cushions and protects the feet. Silipos Gel products are made with mineral oil gels that provide cushioning protection.

Do Silipos Gel Socks Relieve Pressure?

These single layer socks have a 1/16 inch (2mm) gel cushion running throughout the sole to take pressure off the feet, enhancing weight distribution and maximising comfort. They can be used with or without diabetic shoes, making them incredibly versatile.

Silipos Arthritis and Diabetic Gel Socks have a non-restrictive cuff so as not to inhibit circulation. This also reduces the likelihood of ulcer formation.

Features and Benefits of the Silipos Arthritis and Diabetic Gel Socks

  • Socks slowly release Silipos Gel to hydrate, soften and protect feet
  • Designed to prevent the aggravation of neuropathic injuries on the feet
  • Essential for diabetics whos feet are tender and prone to sensation loss
  • Gel padding greatly reduces shock and impact from walking
  • Thin topside makes application and removal a breeze
  • Available in three different sizes and two different colours

Will the Gel Actually Soften My Feet?

Silipos Gels cushion and protect protect the body against impact, pressure and shear forces. The socks slowly release gel over time which contains moisture-rich mineral oil that gently hydrates, softens and conditions the skin without the use of additional creams or lotions.

Which Shoe Styles Can I Wear These Socks With?

Insole Sizing Guide

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

How to measure your insoles

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Product Details Example
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

Gel socks
Rating:
21 April 2022  |  Melvyn

These arrived promptly but I was rather disappointed as these are not gel socks.
They are fabric socks with an inbuilt gel sole.
The reason for ordering was that I need to cover the bottom, toe end, and upper part of my toes with cushioning.
These gel socks only protect the underside of my toes hence not what I really ordered.

Response:

Hi Melvyn,

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review with us.

As mentioned in our listing, Silipos Arthritic Diabetic Gel Socks have a thin gel layer that is attached to and runs along a base moulded insole. This gel cushioning runs under the toes, however the socks themselves are not made from gel. The cushioning is designed to relieve pressure on the bottom of the foot, which is common in diabetics.

We hope you find this information valuable.

Kind regards,

Seth at ShoeInsoles.co.uk

Strange but successful!

These socks do feel a bit strange on your feet but they certainly stop the pain that I experience with severe fat pad atrophy which I count as a success as not much else does! Not sure whether I would buy them again or just opt for gel insoles. Time will tell!

I have bought the 6mm and the 2 mm they are the best things I have bought for my feet. They really do help me stay on my feet without the burning pain being triggered too soon.

I was has with my socks, although a smaller size would have been perfect. I have an amputed right forefoot, with scaring on my sole, this sock offers me extra cushioning and comfort

Quality product and swift service

Better fit and softer ankle grip than a similar product from another supplier. Admittedly my size 10 feet need a size 9 sock (!) but that is no problem. Very pleased with these socks.

The socks are a little too large for me and crumple in the shoe A wider choice of sizes would be ideal. I will now order a smaller size.

Very comfortable socks
Rating:

Purchased due to current painful neuroma. They really do offer a very comfortable cushion of silicone. They could do to be available in more choices of sizes, ordered small which really are too big for a person who is a size 5. Could not wear them in shoes but they are great going shoeless in the house.

Helpful socks

I've just worn the gel socks once. They are slightly large for my size 6 feet. Apart from slightly slipping inside my shoes they helped to relieve the pain in the soles of my feet.
