Who Can Wear the Spenco Walker/Runner Insoles?

The Spenco Walker/Runner Insoles are designed for both frequent runners and casual walkers. The insoles cover the whole foot, focusing on key pressure areas to ensure that you receive optimal levels of support for your heels and forefoot. They are ideal for wearing in trainers or sports shoes, and the added odour control keeps your footwear feeling fresher for longer.

Which Size Should I Choose?

The insoles are available in five different sizes to make find the right size for you easy. To do so, please take your UK or EU shoe size and match it against the sizing chart below.

For a more accurate fit, our product experts recommend removing an existing insole from your shoes and measure that at the longest and widest point. Once you have these measurements, please consult the third column in the table below.

How to measure an insole

UK Shoe Size EU Shoe Size Dimensions (Length x Width)
UK Size 4 - 5 EU Size 36 - 38 237 x 78mm
UK Size 5 - 6 EU Size 38 - 40 257 x 85mm

Sizing Tips and Tricks

How Thick Are the Running Insoles?

Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner Insoles feature the following thickness dimensions:

  • Heel Thickness: 7.5mm
  • Arch at Highest Point: 22mm
  • Forefoot Thickness: 6.8mm

How Do I Use the Polysorb Insoles?

To apply the insoles to your shoes, first remove the existing insoles. The Polysorb Insoles can then be placed into your shoes. If you find that they are a little too big, they can be trimmed down to size for a better fit.

How Do the Walker/Runner Insoles Help?

Designed to ensure you receive support without compromise to comfort during physical activities, the Walker/Runner Insoles provide a range of features and benefits. Please see the annotated diagram below for more information about the following aspects:

  • Silpure Antimicrobial Fabric: Don't let blisters get in the way of your workout; this antimicrobial layer helps to reduce the risk of blisters, while also helping to control odour for ongoing freshness. (1)
  • Shock Absorption: The special SpenCore layer absorbs shock and impact, reducing associated pain and discomfort. (2)
  • Lightweight Construction: Polysorb polyurethane foam is lightweight to ensure that you can keep a spring in your stride without compromise to the quality support provided. (3)
  • Heel Support: The SpenCore heel plug provides added cushioning and shock absorption for your heel. (4)

How Are Odours Minimised?

The Silpure antimicrobial fabric is designed to eliminate odour-causing bacteria, helping to keep both your feet and your shoes feeling fresher throughout the day. The Silpure layer also helps to reduce friction, which in turn can reduce the risk of the development of blisters.

What Are the Materials of the Polysorb Insoles?

The Spenco Polysorb Insoles comprise the following materials:

  • Silpure Antimicrobial fabric
  • SpenCore material
  • Polyurethane (PU)

How Do I Wash the Shoe Insoles?

Once you have removed the Polysorb Insoles from your shoes, they can be hand washed with warm water. They must then be air dried before reinserting them into your footwear.

Insole Sizing Guide

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

How to measure your insoles

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

Product Details Example
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.
