Who Can Wear the Spenco Thin Insoles?
The Spenco Thin Insoles are designed with athletes in mind. The insoles cover the whole foot, focusing on key pressure areas to ensure that you receive optimal levels of support on the pitch, field, or court. They are ideal for wearing in trainers or sports shoes, and the added odour control keeps your footwear feeling pressure for longer when you're playing football, basketball, tennis, and more.
Which Size Should I Choose?
The insoles are available in a selection of sizes to ensure that you can find the most supportive fit. Please see below for a list of the sizes, which are based on UK and EU shoe sizes, and then select your required option from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
If you would like the most precise fit, we recommend removing the insole from the shoe with which you want to use the Total Support Thin Insoles and measuring the length and width of the insole as shown below. Match these measurements to the table for the most precise level of fit.
UK Shoe Size | EU Shoe Size | Dimensions |
UK Size 4 - 5 | EU Size 36 - 38 | 240 x 80mm |
UK Size 5 - 6 | EU Size 38 - 40 | 255 x 86mm |

UK Size 9 - 10 | EU Size 42 - 44 | 295 x 97mm |
UK Size 11 - 12 | EU Size 44 - 46 | 315 x 105mm |
How Do I Use the Total Support Insoles?
To apply the insoles to your shoes, first remove the existing insoles. The Total Support Insoles can then be placed into your shoes. If you find that they are a little too big, they can be trimmed down to size for a better fit.
How Do the Thin Insoles Help?
Designed to ensure you receive support without compromise to comfort during physical activities, the Thin Insoles provide a range of features and benefits. Please see the annotated diagram below for more information about the following aspects:
- 3-POD System:
- Red POD: The stiffer red POD on the underside of the insole helps to align your foot to help with overpronation. (1a)
- Blue PODs: The softer two blue PODs are provided to help guide your stride for a more natural movement. (1b)
- TPU Semi-Flexible Stability Cradle: This provides reliable arch support and deep heel cupping, helping to keep your feet aligned and supported. (2)
- Custom EVA Layer: This layer conforms to your natural foot contours for optimal comfort and conformability. (3)
- Low-Friction Antimicrobial Top Cloth: Don't let blisters get in the way of your game; this antimicrobial layer helps to reduce the risk of blisters, while also helping to control odour for ongoing freshness. (4)
- Metatarsal Arch Support: The arch support offloads pressure from the ball-of-foot area to relieve forefoot pain. (5)
- TPR Air Grid Forefoot Crash Pad: A pocket design is used alongside TPR cushioning for a more low-profile design. (6)
- First Ray Drop Zone: Enjoy a more natural toe-off with this feature, in turn receiving a more healthy stride. (7)
- Forefoot Perforations: Increase your flexibility with the perforations, while also receiving improved airflow for ongoing comfort. (8)
How Are Odours Minimised?
The Silpure antimicrobial fabric is designed to eliminate odour-causing bacteria, helping to keep both your feet and your shoes feeling fresher throughout the day. The Silpure layer also helps to reduce friction, which in turn can reduce the risk of the development of blisters.
How Thin Are the Insoles?
Offering optimal support while remaining thin in design, the Spenco Total Support Thin Insoles feature the following thickness dimensions:
- Heel Thickness: 6.5mm
- Forefoot Thickness: 4.3mm
What Are the Materials of the Total Support Insoles?
The Spenco Total Support Insoles comprise the following materials:
- EVA
- Thermoplastic rubber (TPR)
- Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU)
- Silpure Antimicrobial fabric
How Do I Wash the Shoe Insoles?
Once you have removed the Total Support Insoles from your shoes, they can be hand washed with warm water. They must then be air dried before reinserting them into your footwear.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit
Using Your Shoe Size
For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.
Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.
Measuring Your Current Insoles
While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.
To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
- Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
- Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results
Where Can I Find the Dimensions?
The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab
What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?
If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.
Trimming Your Insoles to Fit
To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:
- Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
- Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
- Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
- Carefully cut along the traced line
- Your insoles should now fit your shoes better
Carefully trace the outline of your insole
Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.
