Sizing Information for Vectorthotic Insoles with Modifications

Vectorthotic Insoles with Modifications are available in seven different sizes ranging from UK size 3 to UK size 12. To find the right one for your feet, we recommend removing an existing insole from your shoes and measuring it at the longest and widest points as demonstrated in the image below.

Once you have these measurements, please consult the sizing chart below.

How to measure an existing insole

Insole Size Dimensions (Length x Width)
E - UK Size 3 - 4 244 x 86mm
D - UK Size 5 - 6 258 x 93mm
C/D - UK Size 6 - 7 280 x 100mm
C - UK Size 7 - 8 280 x 101mm
B/C - UK Size 8 - 9 297 x 107mm
B - UK Size 9 - 10 299 x 107mm
A - UK Size 11 - 12 320 x 115mm

How Do the Vectorthotic Forefoot Posts Work?

The forefoot posts provided as part of this insole pack are covered in a layer of heat-activated glue that is made adhesive with the use of a heat gun. It is not a clip-in system as featured on the rearfoot parts of the kit.

Unless you are familiar with heat guns and heat-activated adhesives, we do not recommend you attempt this yourself. If you are unsure, please seek the advice/help of a podiatrist or a similar healthcare professional.

Who Can Benefit from the Vectorthotic Insoles with Modifications?

The majority of people who are suffering from general foot fatigue or pain can benefit from these insoles, as they feature a range of wedges that make the adaptations virtually endless. Due to the inserts being individually adaptable with wedges, they target discomfort in multiple areas of the foot. The Vectorthotic Insoles are a particularly suitable option for podiatrists, as they can be adapted to suit the needs of a range of patients.

How Do These Insoles Support the Foot?

Vectorthotic Insoles with Modifications allow you to support specific areas of your foot using included rearfoot and forefoot wedges, making them beneficial for various types of discomfort or pain. Designed with the latest 3D CAD technology, Vectorthotic Insoles with Modifications have been created with scientific precision to guide your foot to a more natural position.

Insole Sizing Guide

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Where Can I Find the Dimensions?

The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.

The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab

What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?

If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Trace the outline of your existing insoles
Carefully trace the outline of your insole

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

If you would like a more detailed guide to trimming your insoles, please read our full guide on How to Trim Your Insoles.

I got exactly what I needed

My physio was absolutely clear that sorting out my knee problems involved firstly getting a pair of Vectorthotic. She was right. I've started with the lowest and will continue next week with the next level up.

I have had great service from this company over the years and am particularly grateful that I can purchase these fantastic insoles from them. They are expensive but not too difficult to fit oneself (as long as you have a professional prescription) and therefore much cheaper than buying from a clinic. Very comfortable and durable despite their light appearance. Many thanks.

They are very good but very expensive
(the manufacturing cost must to less than £5!!) . You need to stamp the company name of the back of the plastic as I struggled to remember who I bought the old ones from.

Pleased with the product

Very pleased with the product. Slightly confused by the instructions to use a heat-gun on the glue to fix one of the parts, but the extremely helpful guy on the phone correctly told me a hairdryer would have the same effect.
