Xtenex Accu-Fit Compression Hiking Laces
Hikers and workers who spend a lot of time standing can often face swollen and painful feet on the way home, but this problem can be prevented by wearing the Xtenex Accu-Fit Compression Hiking Laces. Using compression knots, the hiking laces can be stretched to slide through eyelets in your shoe, before retracting and staying in place because of the released knot. This allows your boots to stretch with the natural swelling of your feet, alleviating foot swelling, sore feet and fatigue while blood flow is increased.
Who Can Benefit from the Xtenex Accu-Fit Laces?
The Accu-Fit Compression Laces are designed for users who experience foot pain and swelling during a long day at work. They are designed to fit through the eyelets in your shoes and then use compression knot technology to stay in place. They then expand with the natural swelling of your foot, helping to alleviate pain.
Their heavy-duty design is ideal for use with heavy-duty boots, with hikers particularly feeling the benefits after a long day on the mountain. As these laces do not need to be tied, they are ideal for workers who work with high risk machinery as the long laces won't come undone, dangle behind you, and become a serious safety hazard.
Benefits of the Xtenex Accu-Fit Compression Laces
The Xtenex Accu-Fit Compression Hiking Laces are designed for use with hiking boots and work boots, and provide a number of benefits. Firstly, they incorporate revolutionary compression knot technology, meaning that the wearer can pull the knots on the laces apart, slide them through the eyelets in their shoe, release the laces and have a tight fitting shoe that doesn't require tying making them ideal for high risk work.
As the laces can then stretch and retract between the eyelets, it means that your shoes can stretch with the natural swelling of your feet. This helps to prevent your feet from rubbing the top of your shoe, helping to alleviate sore and aching feet and reduce the chances of ankle instability, blisters and calluses. This provides a unique catered fit that can't be achieved with normal shoe laces, perfect for a long day hiking or on your feet.
Reduces Pain During All Day Use
They can reduce pain during a long day on your feet, as the laces can expand with the natural swelling that occurs during the day. Normal laces can prevent your shoe from expanding with your feet which can cause blood flow to be disrupted and your feet to swell. By allowing your shoes to increase in size with your feet, you alleviate the pressure that your feet feel, allowing them to breathe and allowing you to stay comfortable.
How to Use Xtenex Accu-Fit Compression Laces
To adjust these laces to your liking, stretch them apart in opposing directions to reduce knot size, then thread the stretched portion through the eyelet. Select the desired compression index (number of knots between eyelets) then release to set.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit
Using Your Shoe Size
For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.
Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.
Measuring Your Current Insoles
While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.
To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
- Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
- Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results
Where Can I Find the Dimensions?
The dimensions for insoles can be found on the "Product Details" tab (please see below) and are usually found in the sizing section of the listing, in a table. Please be aware that not all products currently have the dimensions listed.
The dimensions of insoles can usually be found on the "Product Details" tab
What If There Are No Dimensions Listed?
If you do not see the dimensions listed on the Product Details tab, please fill in the form below and we will work to get the relevant information as quickly as possible. We will email you once we have the information that you have requested.
Trimming Your Insoles to Fit
To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:
- Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
- Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
- Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
- Carefully cut along the traced line
- Your insoles should now fit your shoes better
Carefully trace the outline of your insole
Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.
