Can I Trim the High Arch Insoles?

If you find that your High Arch Insoles are a bit too big for you, they can be trimmed down a bit at the toes. It is advised that you use your shoe's existing insole to trace around for an optimal fit.

What Types of Footwear Are Suitable for the High Arch Insoles?

Due to the contoured design of the Sof Sole High Arch Insoles, they are ideal for most shoes and footwear types. This means you can wear them as work boot insoles, casual shoe insoles, trainer insoles, and even formal footwear insoles.

Do I Need to Remove My Existing Insoles? 

Whether or not you choose to remove your existing insoles is largely down to your own personal preference. The High Arch Insoles should fit snugly into your footwear, and you may find that leaving your existing insoles in place helps with this. However, if there is little room to manoeuvre, then you may find that removing your existing insoles before inserting the High Arch Insoles helps to improve comfort.

How Do I Clean My High Arch Insoles?

Once they have been removed from your footwear, you can wash your Sof Sole High Arch Insoles with hand soap or gentle detergent. They can then be air dried before reinserting them into your shoes.

Our Guide to Finding the Perfect Size and Fit

Using Your Shoe Size

For most of our insoles, the easiest way to find the best size for you is to go off of your current shoe size. The majority of our insoles are available in a range of sizes and you can simply select the size that best fits your existing shoes.

Please be aware that, as with shoes, there can be slight variations in the size of insoles. For example a size 8 of one brand might not be exactly the same size and width as the size 8 of another. To help account for these discrepancies, a number of our insoles include dimensions to help you ensure you're getting the right size.

Measuring Your Current Insoles

While using your shoe size to find your best size is a good guide, it is not always foolproof. If you want to guarantee that your insole fit your shoes as closely as possible, we recommend measuring your existing insole and using this as a guide to your size.

To do this, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Remove the existing insole from the shoes you wish to use your new insoles with (please note that not all insoles are removable)
  2. Measure the insoles at their longest and widest points (see the below diagram for an idea of where this will be
  3. Match the measurements to the dimensions of the insoles listed, and choose the size that best fits your results

Trimming Your Insoles to Fit

To get the ultimate level of fit from your insoles, you can trim them to make a small adjustment. To trim your insoles, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Remove your existing insoles from your shoes
  2. Line up your existing and new insoles at the heel
  3. Trace the outline of the insoles against the new pair at the toe end (see the image below for an example)
  4. Carefully cut along the traced line
  5. Your insoles should now fit your shoes better

Please note that not all insoles are suitable for trimming. Most insoles are unsuitable for return once they have been trimmed to fit; we recommend bearing this in mind prior to trimming.

These are great!
Within two days of using them, and in different shoes, the pain in my foot was gone - they have made such a difference!!!
I have now ordered another set to use with other shoes and boots.

Much thinner than advertised

I was looking for thick insoles to provide additional cushioning. These had a very high advertised forefoot thickness of 9mm, however, it's actually 5mm - a huge difference.
As I was looking for 7mm but these are more like the medium thickness of standard insoles that come in running shoes. Very disappointed really as the arch support looks decent.

These arch supports really do work. Most that I've tried do not provide enough adequate support despite being from so called market leaders. These definitely do and are very comfortable.

These are great. Physio stated I needed arch support and these are very appropriate. Only down side is the sizes are not just for my size but a size range and being a 6 I’m at the smaller size but has not effected my foot ware too much.

These insoles are well made and nice and padded. They are quite wide. My son is a 2 1/2 and I bought the 3-5 but they were too big even though I tried to cut them. He also has very narrow feet. But would buy again in the smaller size
